Why we named this wine Sun Rosé
Zakynthos, as the southernmost and sunniest island in the Ionian Sea, was not coincidentally called "Flower of the East," as sailors could smell the blooming sea daffodils from afar before they even saw the island. We named it The Sun Rosé to emphasize the cool pleasure it offers on a sunny day.
Category: Dry Wine
Region / Vineyards: Lagopodo Zakynthos
Variety: Avgoustiatis 100%
Vinification / Aging: Remain for a few hours with the grape pomace, then we carry out cold extraction in a controlled environment. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. The wine remains for 3 months on fine lees with regular stirring.
Tasting Characteristics: Delicate pink hue reminiscent of a Provence rose. On the nose, organoleptic aromas of rose and red fruits, such as cherry and strawberry, are distinguished, combined with notes of buttery caramel that complete the delicate set. Elegant and intense on the palate, with freshness and balanced acidity.
Aging Potential: Ready to drink.
Food Pairing: Ideally pairs with pasta, dishes with light sauces, fatty foods, and cream cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 12.5°C
Alcohol: 12.5%
