The "aging" process is inextricably linked to the quality of the grapes. In 1963 - although it started with a severe winter - the mild spring that replaced the bad weather, as well as the cool summer that followed, created ideal conditions for an excellent harvest on the Aegean islands.

"Samos 1963" is a mature, pleasant, and full-bodied sweet wine from Samos, a piece of Greek wine history and an example of the stunning aging potential of Samos Muscat. Quite dark, elegant, with intense and complex aromas of chocolate, roasted coffee beans, spices, molasses, tobacco, honey, nuts, and dried figs.

This decades-old wine is released in a limited number of bottles. Its age gives it invaluable quality, but also an unparalleled freshness, which is further emphasized by the richness of dense aromas framing its unique taste.

The winter of 1962-1963 went down in history as the "freezing winter." Across Europe, the weather resembled the "North Pole." From mid-January for ten consecutive days, snow fell continuously across Greece, and in isolated areas, supplies were parachuted in due to the frost.

Unprecedentedly, temperatures dropped many degrees below zero.
