One of the most popular recipes comes from the Greek city of Ioannina, where Nikos Kolionasios and his family became famous for their golden baklava – traditional, hand-rolled crisp pastries, lightly sweetened and generously filled with the highest quality nuts.
Over 10 generations of baklava makers from Ioannina have instilled their craftsmanship into this magnificent, handmade piece of Greek confectionery.
Our lightly buttered, paper-thin filo pastry is skillfully rolled by hand, not too loose – not too tight, layer by layer, to evenly wrap the fillings of our recipes and ensure they bake into a perfect, aromatic blend.
Compared to traditionally spreading filo pastry sheets in a pan, rolling is a much more delicate process. Mastering it takes time and effort. For the masterful production of 50,000 handmade baklavas a day, a dedicated team like ours is certainly needed.

Ingredients: wheat flour (gluten), sugar, glucose, vegetable oil (palm oil), Kataif (4%) [wheat flour, corn starch, preservatives (potassium sorbate, soy lecithin), almond (2.6%), walnut (2.6%), natural orange juice, cinnamon, salt, acid (citric acid), raising agents (sodium bicarbonate, disodium diphosphate), preservatives (potassium sorbate).
Contains: wheat, nuts (almonds and pistachios)
May contain: milk, soy, sesame and other nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts).
